About this book

Qadi Iyad’s Ash‑Shifa has, for over 900 years, been cherished across the Muslim world as a manual of love and devotion to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This carefully abridged English edition preserves the heart of the original—teaching what it means to truly know, honour, and follow the Prophet ﷺ—while presenting it in a concise, reader‑friendly format ideal for study circles, personal reading, and teaching.

The work surveys the Prophet’s ﷺ outward form and inward character, his unparalleled virtues and miracles, his infallibility, and his pre‑eminence among creation. It clarifies the rights due to him ﷺ—veneration, obedience, defence of his honour, and abundant salawat—and explains how recognizing his station purifies belief and nurtures love. By condensing the classical arguments and evidences into a flowing narrative, this abridgement becomes a practical doorway for seekers who wish to strengthen their attachment to the Beloved ﷺ and align their daily practice with the Prophetic ideal.
