Umera Ahmed

Umera Ahmed is a novelist, short story writer, and scriptwriter based in Sialkot, Pakistan. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Murray College, Sialkot. Before venturing into full-time writing, she served as a teacher in the Cambridge wing of Army Public College, Sialkot.

She started her writing career by publishing stories in monthly Urdu digests such as Khawateen Digest and Shua’h. Even today, her stories are published in episodic formats in various digests before being released as complete novels. Some of her most famous works, including Man-o-Salwa, Lahasil, and Amar Bail, have been adapted into drama series and aired on Hum TV.

To date, Umera Ahmed has authored 21 books, including novels, compilations of short stories, and plays. Her work is known for its impactful messages, aiming to reform and guide society towards righteousness.
